Seafair Gumbo available Dec. 4-6 Weekend
For all those missing their Seafair Gumbo fix your worries are over! The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce and the Seafair Gumbo Chairman Samantha McCrary have declared Seafair Gumbo Weekend Dec. 4-6.
Beginning Friday at 1pm, you may pick up your gumbo from the drive-thru window of Mermaid’s Kitchen located at 1910 Business Hwy. 35 North. Sales will be from 1pm-6pm on Friday and from 9am - 5pm on Saturday and will go through the weekend until sold out. 150 gallons will be made. A 16 oz cup will be available for $8 and a 32 oz container will be $12. All proceeds benefit the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce.

The 46th Rockport-Fulton Seafair would normally have been held the second weekend in October but was canceled in an abundance of caution due to COVID concerns. Seafair is a fundraiser for operations of the Chamber.
“Everyone just seemed so disappointed to not be able to have Seafair so this is just a little way I wanted to do a positive thing for the people of our community,” said McCrary.
