U.S COAST GUARD AUXILIARY
TO OFFER SAFE BOAT CLASS
Whether you're new to boating or a seasoned sailor, the Rockport Coast Guard Auxiliary invites
boaters of all experience levels to learn the latest in safe and legal boat operation.
No matter where you float your boat, knowledge is key to an enjoyable boating
experience for you and the whole family, The state of Texas requires all boat operators to take an approved class and pass a test if the operator is at least 13 years old or was born on after Sept. 1 1993.
The class, taught by a team of Coast Guard Auxiliarists, will present to attendees, in a relaxed atmosphere,
boating terminology, navigation, buoys, rules, required equipment for your boat, safe trailering, and launching and retrieving your boat.
