Weather Update Hurricane Preparedness:
Alan Holt, KIII TV Ch. 3 Chief Meteorologist
During the time Alan has been in Corpus Christi, he is most proud of his coverage of Hurricane Harvey, undoubtedly helping to save lives during the powerful Category 4 land falling hurricane in 2017. Less than four months after Harvey came the December snow in 2017, another highlight of Alan's tenure in the Coastal Bend.

John Metz, Warning Meteorologist Manager, National Weather Service
John Metz is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist Manager at the National Weather Service (NWS) in Corpus Christi, TX. John organizes weather preparedness activities, trains severe storms spotters, and leads a team of meteorologists who provide life-saving weather forecasts and warnings. He works closely with the media, emergency managers, and other local, state, and federal officials, to ensure that South Texas communities are ready when Hurricanes, Floods, and other hazardous weather threaten. John graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Atmospheric Science in 1992, and has worked in the NWS for nearly 30 years.
